Terms & Conditions

1. Your usage of our Webshop, goods and services offered by The Wine People constitutes your agreement to the below terms and conditions.

2. Ordering

2.1 All prices are quoted in CNY. Prices may be per bottle or per case, as indicated. The prices include VAT.

2.2 Discounts are not cumulative. In case you already enjoy a discount registered in our system and purchase discounted products, the bigger discount will prevail.

2.3 Age Restriction

We do not sell products containing alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

2.4 We accept payment by Wechat, Alipay and Paypal. We will ship the products upon receipt of full payment.

2.5 Closing Dates

We are closed on weekends and Chinese public holidays. Orders placed during these times will be processed on the following working day.

2.6 Should you require a Fapiao for your order please send us an e-mail to invoice@thewinepeople.co and state the order number, your name, company name and address. Fapiao will only be issued 15 days after receipt of full payment.

3. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

3.1 There shall be no cancellations or refunds once payment is received, except where the product is unavailable (see below).

3.2 Product Unavailability

We will inform you by e-mail in the event the product you have ordered is currently out of stock or not available for immediate shipment. In such event, you may cancel your order or purchase an alternative wine.

3.3 All products are sold as seen without any expressed or implied warranties. Due to the consumable nature of our products, there shall be no right to exchange or return the products.

4. Delivery

4.1 Territory

We deliver only within mainland China. We do not deliver to Hong Kong or Macau.

4.2 Delivery Charges

The minimum order is 3 bottles. Delivery is free of charge on orders of 6 bottles and above across mainland China. This can be any mix of wines, i.e. you can buy 6 different wines. For orders of less than 6 bottles the system will automatically calculate a delivery fee per bottle according to the delivery address.

4.3 Delivery Times

For main cities in Guangdong Province (Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan), the delivery time is 24~48 hours. For all other cities, delivery time is approximately 2~4 days. We use third party courier companies and the actual delivery times are subject to their terms.

4.4 Delivery Address

We only deliver to one address per order. If you wish us to deliver to more than that one address please place a separate order for each location.

4.5 Breakages

In the event that any of the bottles in your case are broken on delivery, please state on the waybill that you received broken goods, take a picture of the waybill and the broken goods or package. Claims without accompanying picture and waybill will not be entertained. Please send the pictures to us by e-mail to claims@thewinepeople.co no later than 3 days after receiving the broken bottles.

5. Copyright

All content on this website is the property of The Wine People. You cannot use (including imitate, reproduce, rearrange, redistribute or modify) our content without our prior written consent.

6. Privacy Policy

We take your privacy very seriously and will take commercially reasonable efforts to not disclose your private data to third parties. At the same time, by placing an order you accept that there will be situations required by commercial needs where your data will have to be passed onto the third parties, for example to the courier company.

7. Commercial Advertisements

Our content, products and services shall not be employed for commercial uses on our behalf without our prior consent.

8. We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. By placing an order, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions applicable at the time of your order.
